We can remember moving into our first home. That feeling of excitement and being terrified all at once. It’s the American dream – to settle into a space, make it your own and grow as a couple or family.
The joys of creating that space: Painting that baby room. Redoing that kitchen. Making that house ours. The place we wanted to call home.
“Home” is different for everyone, but at its core it’s a place that provides security, comfort and the opportunity for growth and created memories.
For us, ten years in our first home went quickly…we had two kids, a boy and a girl. They attended our neighborhood school, and we progressed in our careers and made memories together.
Another chapter began when we moved to a larger house where we could see our kids as high schoolers. We quickly became good friends with our neighbors and have since recruited multiple friends and family members into what we now call the “Honeyhood” and fortunate enough to do life together.
Now, this season of our lives puts us in a place where we’re excited to help others achieve this goal of “finding their ‘hood’” – a community to grow with and grow into. A community to share front yard conversations, pancake breakfasts and backyard dinners and drinks with.
We do what we do, because we want other families to experience what we’ve been blessed to experience!
